Sung K. Yang, M.D.
Dr. Yang received his Medical Degree from the Stritch School of Medicine, Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois and completed his Internal Medicine residency and Chief residency at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign . He served his Gastroenterology fellowship at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Following the completion of his Fellowship, he remained at Wayne State University on the teaching faculty for four years before joining Oakland Gastroenterology Associates. Dr. Yang has special interests in gastrointestinal motility disorders, including biliary manometry, endoscopic ultrasonography and therapeutic endoscopy involving bile ducts and the pancreas. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology and is a member of the The American College of Physicians, The American Gastroenterological Association, The American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and The American College of Gastroenterology . He has published several abstracts and made presentations for the Celiac Sprue Association , St. Mary's Hospital in Port Huron, Michigan, The American College of Physicians and Harper Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Yang lives in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan with his wife and four children.
