He serves as Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Wayne State University and is currently an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. Dr. Polidori has been listed in The Best Doctors in America since 1996 and has been listed as one of metro Detroit's Top Gastroenterologists in Hour Magazine. He is a member of the teaching faculty for William Beaumont Hospital Gastroenterology Fellowship Program. Dr. Polidori is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He is a Fellow of the The American College of Physicians and The American College of Gastroenterology. Dr. Polidori has published articles in The American Journal of Gastroenterology, The Archives of Biochemistry and Biophysics, Journal of Biological Chemistry and Cancer Research. He has over 25 years of experience in both diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy.

He served his fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah. Dr. Goo has served as an Instructor at the School of Medicine, University of the Philippines and as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Wayne State University. He has been listed as one of metro Detroit's top gastroenterologists in Hour Magazine. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology and is a Fellow of the The American College of Physicians and the The American College of Gastroenterology. He is a member of The American Gastroenterological Association, The American College of Gastroenterology and the Detroit Gastroenterology Society. Dr. Goo is currently the Chief of Gastroenterology at Huron Valley - Sinai Hospital in Commerce, Michigan. His clinical special interests include therapeutic endoscopy. His publications include articles in Gastroenterology, Scandinavian Journal of Gastroenterology and Cancer Letters.

Dr. Goo works our of our Royal Oak office Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. He works out of the office in Walled Lake on Thursdays.

He completed his fellowship in Gastroenterology at Providence Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Before joining Oakland Gastroenterology Associates, P.C., Dr. Akkary served as a physician with the Syrian Navy and as an attending physician, teaching faculty in Gastroenterology at Grace and Providence Hospitals. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology and a member of The American College of Gastroenterology, The American Gastroenterological Association , and the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases . Dr. Akkary has written several abstracts and published an article in The Journal of Hepatology.

Dr. Akkary works out of our Royal Oak office Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

She maintains vast medical experience in nursing while having worked extensively in Colorado, Utah, West Virgina, and in Michigan. She currently guest lectures at the University of MIchigan and Eastern Michigan University, specializing in gastrointestinal disorders. Dorene works in collaboration with Dr Goo in patient medical and therapeutic assessment.
